This is a great opportunity in Rock County to join the Ag Ambassador Program and promote agriculture. We’re adding to the Ag Ambassador Program team to continue to create positive awareness and understanding of agriculture and agribusiness through educational efforts.

Primary Responsibilities:
Implement and develop agriculture education programs in Rock County.
Schedule and conduct presentations in schools and other county-wide organizations.
Create promotional material and present at special events.
Create and post social media content to promote the program and Rock County agriculture.
Coordinate fundraising to meet financial goals.
Write press releases and submit grants.
Direct contact with the Rock County Ag Ambassador Committee and Ag Business Council of Rock County Board.
Essential knowledge, skills, and attributes:
A background in agriculture
Ability to demonstrate advanced working knowledge of Windows Operating System, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet Explorer
Experience creating PowerPoint presentations, and spreadsheets, charts, and graphs using advanced Excel functions
Experience on social media platforms
Ability to operate basic office equipment
Strong communication skills
Ability to articulate clearly, both with written and spoken word
Ability to work effectively with a variety of people types and personality styles
Ability to work independently under the direction of management
Excellent coordination, prioritization, and organizational skills
Eager to grow position
Requirements:
Have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
Work Schedule:
Year-round flexible position, including occasional weekends and evenings. Terms are flexible and there is opportunity for growth.
Pay:
The salary begins at $20.00 per hour. Education and experience may be taken into consideration when job offers are extended.
